Day 1:  Start from Chiang Mai to Lampang, hotel pick up time is at 8.00 am. (_/ L /_)

Pick you up at your hotel at 8.00 am and then drive directly to Lampang. It takes 1.30 hours from Chiang Mai and arrive at the downtown of Lampang. Lampang is the third-largest city in the northern Thailand inferior to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. There are ancient tourist attractions and cultures which have been well conserved. Temples and architectures are mixed of Thai Lanna and Myanmar style. This trip, we are proud to present you the visit of Wat Chedi Sao Lang. 500 years ago, there was a Buddhist saint named Phaya Mirinthon living in this place and he believed in this temple then he built 20 chedie and put a strand of hair in each chedi. Sao means twenty and Lang refers to chedi.

After that, we will continue to Wat Chalermprakiat located in Chae Hom district, Lampang to see the unseen temple which is located on top of the mountain. Within the area of the temple, there is the Buddha’s footprint trail. The stunning thing of this temple is that many chedis sitting on top of the mountain which is outstanding and unseen. We need to walk up to the mountain to reach the temple which is located 815 meters above sea level. There are more than 10 chedis building to sit on the mountain with the faith of the monks and villagers and it took 10 years to build. There, you can see the view of the green mountain with 360 degrees around.

At 13.00 pm: Lunch time at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will drive to Chae Son National Park, taking 45 minutes to get there. There is the waterfall which is beautiful with natural mineral water. We can relax there with many activities to do such as dipping our feet in hot water, boiling eggs in the hot spring or having a bath in the hot water of the hot spring. After relaxing time at Chae Son National Park, we will drive back to the hotel in Lampang.

Day 2: Check Out from Lampang Hotel and go to Nan province, hotel pick up time at 8.00 am.

In the morning, we will take you to visit Lampang’s temples by taking the Horse Carriage in Lampang City, feel the touch of old-styled travel around the city of Lampang about 30 minutes, and then we will stop at the first temple; Wat Sri Rong Muang. Wat Sri Rong Muang is a beautiful, very richly decorated temple built by Burmese immigrants. Its style is Shan with Lanna influences. It has the most beautiful teak wood Viharn in Lampang. The roof has multiple layers and the pillars are furnished with mosaic and gold designs from the base to the top.

After that, we will visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. It is the ancient temple existed in Lampang since Phra Nang Cham Tewi era. The sacred Phra That is the Lotus Marble, the base in Lanna-style circular shape and the exterior are adorned with Chanko gold, decorating in various. The last stop for temple tour in this morning is Wat Lai Hin or Wat Sela Rattana Papphataram. It is located in Ko Kha district, Lampang. It is an old temple of Lampang which is over 100 years old. The architecture in Wat Lai Hin is in Lanna style of Buddhist art consisting of ground in the front. The pagoda in Lanna style is believed to contain Buddha’s relics.

At 13.00 pm: Lunch time at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will drive to Nan province and during the way to Nan, we will stop by Ban Thung Hong in Prae to see how to make Mor Hom clothes. Mor Hom is an organic indigo dye. Ban Thung Hong is the village where Mor Hom is made. The making of Mor Hom indigo dye, the art of indigo, and the lifestyle of Mor Hom apparel are all rooted in traditional Thai fashion. Then, we will drive to Nan and will arrive at the hotel in Nan at around 18.00 pm.

Day 3:  Visit NAN City Temples, National Museum, Hotel pick up time is at 8.00 am. (B/ L /_)

Check Out from Nan Hotel and drive back to Chiang Mai

After picking you up at the hotel, we will visit Wat Phumin. Wat Phumin is a royal temple located in Nai Wiang sub-district, near Nan National Museum. The temple was built by Phra Chao Jettabutrabhrama, the ruler of Nan Kingdom. It is the most famous and ancient royal temple of Nan with almost 400 years old. Because of unique design of Lanna architectures and arts, Wat Phumin has become one of the most interesting temples in Thailand. There are unique wall art and painting of murals which depict the scenes of village life.

After that, we will continue visiting Nan National Museum. It is located opposite to Wat Phra That Kham, near Wat Phumin. The style of the building is a combination between European style in the age of King Rama V and the native arts of Nan. It was originally used as the royal pavilion and the work place of Royal Governor Phra Chao Ssuriyawong Pharit Det. The museum is divided into 2 floors. The first floor shows the living of tribes in Nan including the important festivals. The second floor shows the display of antiques found in Nan dated from the pre- historic age to the time of series of viceroys.

Then, we will visit Wat Phra That Khao Noi. It was built in 1487. The most outstanding part of the temple is the golden Lord Buddha statue named “Phra Buddha Maha Udom Mongkhon Nanthaburi Sri Nan”, locating over the town. The statue is 9 meters high building on 5th December, 1999 in an honor of King Bhumibol. The temple is located on Doi Khao Noi, approximately 240 meters above sea level and there are 303 steps in front of the temple. With being a temple on a high hill, it is a beautiful viewpoint that is the only point where you can see the scenery of Nan from a high angle.

After visiting Wat Phra That Khao Noi, we will drive back to Chiang Mai. During the way back, we will stop by at a local restaurant to have lunch. Before arriving Chiang Mai, we will stop by at Mae Tha local market in Lamphun. There, you can buy some fresh food and jungle products. We will arrive your hotel at 18.00 pm.
