Hotel pickup time is at 8.30 am.
For your information, most of the religious spots here require you to take your shoes off. The first temple we will visit is called Wat Suan Dok. These small white structures are 3 meters to 6 meters high, which are ashes of old Chiang Mai Royal Family. Standing out these chedis is the largest and also the most chedi, a Buddhist chedi sure to mesmerize every onlooker by its unique beauty.
Next to visit is Wat U-Mhong or The Tunnel Temple. It is an important ancient and historic site and being respectable temple of Chiang Mai people for more than 700 years. It was built in 1296 by King Meng Rai. It is an ancient temple which covered with moss and the tunnel was built for the monk named Thera Chan, using to meditate in peace and quiet. There are also numerous historical artifacts and architectures inside.
After that, we will drive up to Doi Suthep, the mountain on the edge of the city that dominates
the Chiang Mai skyline. Once at the top, you will find the 309 stairs up to Wat Phra That Doi
Suthep, which are flanked on each side by a beautiful Naga, who runs the entire length of the
stairs. Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is the most sacred temple (1383 AD). The temple is located 16
kilometers from the city and 3,500 feet (1,066 meters) above sea level. Its Relic of the lord
buddha placed in side of large golden chedi attracts Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world
throughout the year. While you are there, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Chiang Mai city
and the Ping Valley from this beautiful mountain temple. And after that, go back to the hotel.
