Explore the hidden gems area in Chiang Mai. Discover Chiang Mai’s old city through local’s eyes by a trishaw. See the magnificence of the most important temples, the historical and cultural heritage of Chiang Mai starting at Tha Pae, the main gate of city, then pass the Three Kings Monument, lively market and local community. In this trip, you will get to see the highlights of Chiang Mai and know loads of local insight including Phra Singh, marvel at the highly revered Buddha images of the 14th-century monument, including the important Buddha statue of Phra Buddha Sighing. Discover the largest monument of Chiang Mai during the days of the Lanna Kingdom at the beautiful Wat Chedi Luang. Learn more about Wat Pan Tao, the ancient ruler’s temple of Northern. After that, walk for a few minutes to see how beautiful slow life in Chiang Mai is. Then have lunch at the local restaurant, the serving menu is the original northern Thai food called “Kao Soi”.
In the afternoon, make your way by air-conditioned minivan to the active temple of Wat Sri Supan and Wat Chai Mongkhon. Wat Sri Supan is a unique and exquisite modern interpretation of traditional Lanna design. Architectural marvel was built entirely by the skilled traditional workers from the local community, inside and out, is being covered with silver. Crafted out of silver and aluminums, the Silver Temple sits within the silversmith district and showcases the intricate work of the local people. Wat Chai Mongkhon is an impressive Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai. It’s one of the top temples to visit in the area and is steeped in a rich, colorful history. The temple has numerous exciting details to discover both inside and outside. It is still an important place of worship for the locals, get to observe just some of the religious activities being conducted even donate here to help with the upkeep and maintenance of the temple. Then experience a local transportation on a boat for sightseeing on Mae Ping River to discover the city of Chiang Mai which was built in the traditional northern architectural lifestyle with a typical Lanna-style.
